Account & deletion

  Hi! I know this may come as an abrupt shock, but I would heavily prefer to have my account permanently removed off the site. This is something I have been thinking about for a while and never really thought "oh, I shouldn't do this." This was a confident decision.
  Do not get me wrong, I love this community, everyone is sweet and funny, but I cannot keep up this profile knowing that it is feeding my online addiction majorly as another tab to scroll on every time I click on my browser, and it is making me rapidly become less and less interested in personal hobby, non-work/school related art (not to say this ISN'T hobby-related art, but there is a difference between being at home and drawing whatever my heart desires versus constantly having the thought of "how can this album be translated into a drawing?")
  
  I have already archived all of my drawings so they do not go to waste, and also just in case of the small chance I decide a lot later down the line to come back to this space.
  
  Please fulfill this request instead of dancing around the idea.

  While I am saddened by the idea of you deleting your GTA account, I do think it is important to recognize when something is causing unhealthy habits in your life. I've been there before. You should do what is best for you, and if deletion is necessary to make the changes that you want to make, then you should do so. You'll always be welcome back if you find yourself in a better place, and obviously you can still reach out to any of us in the Discord server if it helps. Wishing you the best!

  If I came up with a way for your account to be disabled (so that you couldn't log in) but for all your drawings to remain, would you want that, or do you want everything to completely go away as if you never existed? (That's easy for me to do since I have a "ban" feature)

  I think I would prefer to do the ban option because if I do decide to return later down the line, I would probably prefer to start over with a blank s;ate (and yet again, I still have the drawings saved!)

  OK. I've never banned somebody with so many drawings, but it is what it is. I should probably give users the option to do this themselves. Thanks for taking part in my CIA-backed album cover revolution.

  Just occurred to me that I have no idea what happens to forum posts when somebody gets banned. Guess we'll find out. I could actually look at the codebase but that would ruin the mystery and suspense.

  SKYESKYE is officially banned. Apparently this does not effect forum posts.

  I think Skye's ban affected the leaderboards in an unexpected way because when i look at the general leaderboards i'm 61 and when i look at my profile i'm 62. I may be the only person to care though.

  Yeah - Skye must have been 33; this is true for everyone who was behind them on the leaderboard.

  I bet the leaderboard standings on people's profiles don't take into account banned users. I'll try to fix.
