what makes you decide what albums to draw

  I like to draw albums that are just difficult enough that the person who guesses it can feel good about knowing :)

  - The album kicks ass
  - I like the band
  - Would be interesting to draw
  - Does not require good knowledge of body proportions

  mostly albums/artists that arent spammed too much. sick of mc peepee everywhere. if i do an artist with a lot of hits i go for a prolific artist or a recent album.

  I usually just go on spotify and pick a playlist of a genre I like and draw whatever looks interesting, I can't name the bands of half the albums I've drawn.

  very cool friends thank you for sharing. i've listened to most of the albums i've drawn and i will draw whatever is cute and draw singles covers with many variations of possible titles to everyones frustration

  I usually make decisions based on whether or not I can do something "fun" with it.
  
  I'm considering pivoting to covers for artists that have 0 presence though.

  I'm very garbage at art, so I just draw the albums I have saved on Spotify that are easy to draw (and that haven't been posted to the point of being redundant like ITAOTS)

  honestly love colorful albums with a lot of small details. A pain to draw sometimes and I can't fit in everything or I miss things, but it's fun to take a closer look at the cover while drawing and notice things you wouldnt have before.

  I don't like drawing anything that's either been overdone, or anything too simple like text/a logo on a blank background. I try to go for unique-looking covers I can put some kind of twist on. I find that covers with faces, people, or animals tend to be the most fun
